SHOOTING RANGE INFORMATION

  • Range is for members only who may bring a family member up yo the age of 18 unlimited times. A guest age 18 and over may come one time, and then must join the club to continue using the range.
  • The guest must sign a Liability Waiver which is found in a box attached to the corner pole of the Pavilion.
  • Designated shooting areas are 25 yards, 50 yards, and 100 yards.
  • Skeet shooter available.
  • Range is closed when the Clubhouse is rented, or during club sponsored events. Rental dates are listed on our website.
  • Range is open from 9am to 8pm April 1st to October 31st and 9am to 5pm November 1st to March 31st.
  • All members must have their current paid up membership card on them while on the range and a signed waiver of Liability Form on file in the board office.

General Policy

  1. Range is for members only who may bring one family member up to age 18 unlimited time. A guest age 18 and over may come one (1) time before joining the club. The guest must sign a waiver which is found in a box attached to the corner pole of the pavilion.
  2. All members must have their membership card on them while on the range.
  3. Your signed "Hold Harmless Agreement" must be on file in the Board Office.
  4. The range is used at your own risk.
  5. The range is closed when the Club and Grounds are rented. Check the website or note the BIG WHITE sin hanging from the corner of the pavillion
  6. The range is open from 9am to 8pm April 1st to October 31st and 9am to 5pm November 1st to March 31st. Sunday morning the range does not open till 11am. The range is closed on Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
  7. Work with others to share time on the range.
  8. All members are responsible for ensuring that the range rules are followed. If someone is acting unsafely, report them to the range marshal or an officer of the club. If you witness a violation of the law: (vandalism, trespassing, etc.), call the sheriff.
  9. You are responsible for your actions while on club property. Violation of the rules will be cause for sanctions and/or suspension from the range. In addition, criminal charges may be pursued if applicable.
  10. Vehicles are not permitted on the range.
Range Rules

  1. Treat all firearms as though they are loaded.
  2. Handling of firearms while under the influence of alcohol or drugs is a violation of club rules and a criminal offense under Ohio revised code.
  3. When multiple shooters are at the range, no one may advance forward of the firing line without mutual agreement from all shooters.
  4. All uncased or unholstered firearms must be unloaded (magazines out and actions open) when not in use and when shooters advance forward.
  5. You must wear eye and ear protection at all times on the range.
  6. Only shoot from designated shooting areas: 25 yards at 12 o'clock, 50 and 100 yards at 11 o'clock.
  7. No targets shall be higher than 3 feet off the ground. No ground targets are to beyond the plane of the two yellow posts.
  8. Any metal target must be designed for safety.
  9. All fire shall be deliberate and controlled. Any practice which could be considered unsafe may result in suspension of range privileges.
  10. No fully automatic weapons, 50 caliber BMG, bump stock weapons, or exploding targets.
  11. Keep the range clean. Put all trash and used targets in the trash can.
  12. Zero tolerance on rules infractions!
